This winter cattle grazing ranch is well located approximately 26 miles north and east of Red Bluff and approximately 20 miles from Lassen Volcanic National Park on year-around state-maintained Highway 36 East. At approximately 2,000 to 2,600 foot elevation the ranch is relatively cool in the summer and gets an occasional snowfall in the winter. Some of the recreation opportunities on the ranch itself include horseback riding, hunting, dirt-biking and 4-wheeling. Other nearby opportunities for recreation include hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, camping and fishing during the summer months and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing during the winter months in nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park.
This ranch has been used primarily as winter grazing land and currently is leased out at $15,500 per season. Water comes from a year-around spring, creek, and pond, and there are several seasonal creeks and small ponds too. There is a spring-fed 2,500 gallon water storage tank that gravity-feeds into the main pond of approximately 3-4 acres when full.
A high plateau on the property at approximately 2,600 feet altitude offers amazing territorial views of both Mt. Lassen and Battle Creek Basin.

The ranch topography includes a high plateau with spectacular views; some gentle and some steep hillsides; pine and oak savannahs; some brushy areas; and open meadows. There are a wide variety of wildflowers in the springtime and miles of riparian thickets providing cool shade in the summer.
For the hunter, the ranch is home to deer, turkey, quail, dove, coyote, bobcat, and bear, among other wildlife. There is also access to adjacent public lands that border Battle Creek, a favorite fly-fishing stream with a well-deserved reputation for healthy populations of steelhead and trout.
