It is only 2 miles from the center of the City of Edgefield. The tract is primly located near both residential areas and other timberland. The property is only 28 miles north of Augusta, Georgia and 62 miles west of Columbia, South Carolina. The property has road access on Walker Loop (South Carolina Highway S-19-462) which leads from Highway 23, east of Edgefield.

The Mims Timber Tract features 170 acres of land with multiple opportunities for residential development and timber investments. The property features both merchantable and pre-merchantable planted pine. There are several small streams on the property, including one that flows along the northwest edge and one originating within the center of the tract. The tract contains 84 acres of well-stocked 3 year old planted Loblolly pine (seedling information available).
