Located approximately 8 miles northeast of Rock River, Wyoming and 45 miles north of Laramie, the Hall Ranch is a successful working cattle ranch, just off US Hwy 30. The ranch encompasses 17,182+/- deeded acres of meadows, irrigated pastures and native rangelands. 2,540+- acres Bureau of Land Management and 1,280+- acres State of Wyoming, 21,000 +- total acres. Adjudicated water rights are held on 2,247+- acres of the total. The Hall Ranch has operated as a cow calf operation. Owned by the same family since the 1940’s. Because of the large amount of irrigated land (2,247+- acres) and fertile creek bottom property, the Ranch has supported 800 – 1,000 cows year round in the past. Hay yields vary from 1,000 to 1,800 tons.
The original owner’s home and a modular are present at the headquarters. Another usable home is found at the northern unit. Two separate sets of working corrals are found on the Ranch. The first at the main headquarters include an extensive set of corrals, large calving barn, working and load chutes, and shop. The second set of improvements is located to the north in the summer pastures. Both sets of improvements have power and water throughout and are in functional condition.
While a quality cow ranch, the abundance of wildlife should not be overlooked. Both large and small game roam the ranch most of the year, as well as a large quantity of waterfowl.
